Relections

Relections

A Poem by Corset

Reflections

Infinite reflections
mirrors mirrored
A child blowing love bubbles to the sun
Homeless person
 you'll agree
looking in at us- looking out
sidewalk appeal
there'll be no place for tomorrow
tomorrow doesn't exist
just fingers strumming on the strings
your shadowhead crooning to the moon
space within space
living growing mediations
within mediation
periscopic love
bubbles in the air
are we and
the promises
 we kept.

Like Rita Dove who uses the oddest pieces of the world and makes of them the stuff of lyric poetry. I agree, that there is nothing that we can see, that doesn't see us first, "meditations within meditations". Which, perhaps, is the framework of love within this larger society. Poetry is an agreement with other poets with the expectation that something seductive or harrowing has yet to be born. i've missed you terribly. dana.
