Fire Cat

Fire Cat

A Poem by Corset

it's a matter of few things

The moon
was as big as the sun
when it dashed across the horizon
like a big cat on fire

the night we blossomed
beneath our lids
under his beams
knees giving way

he said:
"I will not let you fall"

but that is a matter of two things
with so many ways to stumble
and with so many idle ways and days
 to fall
and it has to be what you're looking for.

Like they say we can only protect as much as we can... Care as many as we can, but only love that's true and real, only comes once... So Good to read you mu friend, it's been long...

like a big cat on fire
I love that opening staza.

Love the mind image this creates and the days it brings back into that show a memories. The moon has always played an important roll in my life, whether it thought so or not. I knew I could count on it to be looking over my shoulder no matter what trouble I was getting myself into and boy did it have a show.

I went in a totally different direction here...I am taken back to the moonlit nights in front of my old girlfriend's house...kisses that made me feel weak kneed...she had more power than the moon that shone on us.
