New Dawn Listening

New Dawn Listening

A Poem by Corset

Your birthday gift
 honored with a tragedy,
so you go ahead and
lie your shadows down.

There is silence in the slowing
crazy network
mind hives
over 5000 exoplanets
with two water worlds
close by.

Infants in the eons
perhaps
life will start there
and they too
will infinitely wonder
outwardly seek their creators
amongst the wonderous firmaments

just like us

When all they have to do
is close
their infant eyes and
 listen to love.

Maybe the real universe is in the womb...infants have it best living in there before they have to come out and join the cruel world that is so full of questions of existence...and why
there is so much chaos. It is peaceful when protected by the mother who loves us.
and maybe Mother Nature is our real mother, like the Virgin Mary....and we are in her womb...
but treating it badly...when all it wants to do is give us shelter and love.

I did like the strength of the above lines. We must listen to love. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

You are welcome my dear friend.
Complex relationship poem that speaks to all relationships from the beginning to what I'm increasingly realising might not be the end in a way. Beautifully done

Thank you Ken! always good to see you :D
Wow, after reading Jacobs comment I think that anything I could say would be inadequate and lackluster to say the least. So let me just say that I always look forward to something new from you because your poetry always leaves me thinking and dreaming...this was no exception. Beautiful my friend.

O! Wow! That opening stanza is heart-breakingly beautiful! "So you go ahead and lie your shadows down." The depth of despair here is ... just ... devastatingly sad.

The closing stanza is beautifully writ, so full of beauty and hope.

dearest Corset.. my hubby and myself just saw the first Avatar Movie made in 2009… it was fascinating with the “ blue people creatures”. I understand the latest Avatar Movie is mostly under water. My daughter and her family have seen the latest movie. Somehow your Poem seems to reflect on the Premise of the Movie in some way. gently, Pat
