By Summers EndA Poem by CorsetAt the end of summer there will be heat, sweet eternal waves we are moving on to quiet lakes Baby needs new taillights after spending hours riding back and forth on my mind daylight whimpers into arid winds a whimsical world full of magic and mayhem where night is a navy-blue umbrella sugar sprinkled with stars soaking in a tall cool drink birthed into happiness where semantics follow me wherever I go I would like to hear it do what we do take the pressure right out of that dive bomb ripping the throat out of passive-aggressive 'til there is a knock or a knot at my door announcing itself as the end of Summer. © 2022 CorsetReviews
