Posse

A Poem by Corset

I remember how the moon appeared that night
Gibbous and waning
how dry and dusty the daze
in aftermath colossal
how liquid the limbs
that carried me years away
yet as close as the wind
through the weaves, and
all thoughts were dressed in black
acid girls, hippie swirls
hoops and hooks so heavy
I'm going to God you now
back to the beginning and the end
swinging ropes Posse
like pendulums and personality
wearing meat suits
sending out love, support
and gratitude down below.
What a mess
our Starlight
overpowered by the sun
Tidal wave.

Thank you!
Dear Corset, you transport me back to the sixties here. Your imagery brought me rock concerts, camping out all night, friends and some of them who could see far more than me. Your lines intrigued and your moon stays with me.

Thank you Chris
I remember some moons in the late sixties that were pretty liquid, but heavy
as some nights trying to catch that moon through glazed eyes...when things looked so much closer than they were.
I like the line "I'm going to God you now"
the beginning, the end....
creation much like a Tidal Wave....the sixties much like a tidal wave.
I should have been swinging from a rope...
but I did not have a meat suit to where.
such an intriguing piece of poetry.
