Who loves you Baby?A Poem by CorsetFor Macy Gray, why not? I TRYMmmmmmmmmmmm It's a red-rimmed rhythm it's a black root effort it's a brown hand over the American heart Instead of swimming in the sea that waves in pink you'll let a few bad apples ruin the barrel and although it reaches for you with the hands of love, you'll want to change our stripes from bright to sullied white Blinded by the very thing you claim to see Sister, the stars in the sky are white and they shine the same for you and me Men of all colors all died under that flag to set you free just be emancipate yourself If you want to talk about division talk about how they divided amongst themselves In this sea of pink, a parting that would even put Moses to shame brother against brother parted and drew their blood for the love of you. Would you die for me? So many already have! Yet you carry the weight like Atlas It's not me, but it's definitely you. No one can change the past but we can change the future. Sister lay it down love begets love, hate brings hate Division begets divide Are we to color by numbers now? Again? Why repaint an old picture when it already stands for the love we have for you, for all from thine own eye remove the splinter and see the sea in front of you what color is it? Does The color disappoint you? who loves you, baby? I try © 2022 CorsetAuthor's NoteReviews
