ParablesA Poem by CorsetParables I can always tell did you know that? A great many packed away under that pillow each thought detonates land mines in their wake. Do not ask questions you do not want the answers to whether they be truth or lies the answer will shape an opinion Opinions oft shape the future. Lies are seeds of false truths One lie can devastate a carefully tilled crop. Truth is a worm that will bore its way to the surface as soon as it rains. Rain begets life Life begets opinion for ill or not, opinion is fodder for peasants and kings alike. A sickly field of opinion can devastate Nations Whether for flowers or weeds we must reap what we sow except for those few seeds that fall upon the fallow ground Those will be in the wind among rumors. © 2021 CorsetReviews
