Poetry is a kind of porn. Or better yet, a kind of pro wrestling where the villain is always obvious to even the kindest hearts. But like porn it has this semiotic, philosophical symbol making that compromises the reader, perhaps even seduces him or her into a lustrous life that they dare not even try to live. But poems, again like porn, allows a kind of spiritual uplift of mental reason (Plath comes to mind) when we are neither white or saintly, beautiful or smeared with toil, yet we can live in the "impossible" even with our arms folded within our own grandeur's. Girl, i could tell you some stories...
I went along with a friend to this bar in Lansing..etc. I'll stop right there. Because poetry, like a good spell, wards off indecency. Thank you my love. We're burying many soles here in detroit from a virus that no one knows from where it comes....dana

How so tou say its a terrible thing without sounding contrite or fluppant, all of our blood is the .. read moreHow so tou say its a terrible thing without sounding contrite or fluppant, all of our blood is the same color love, take care of you, humor is my way of dealing with things i cant control, but your poems give us the both both joy and at the same time the gritty, and sometimes that is all I need to smile.
