'Round Here

'Round Here

A Poem by Corset

A few friends sat
 around a table
one asked
"If
some of us disappeared who would you choose to stay with?"
I answered...
pointing  'round
 the table
 at the people
that were
still there.
but I know
the Scarecrow
is still there
too...
Somewhere
close by...
are the birds of a feather.

oh if we have to choose which friends to be with, some over others...no thanks, don't want to be in that position...
I would rather have my bones picked by the crows...
Birds of a feather really do stick together, don't they?
especially for Hitchcock.

I love how you formatted this poem in the figure of the scarecrow...
oh, those arms reaching...reaching...reaching out...
to guard? to stop?
to represent Jesus on the cross? Wondering if his death will really help the sinners come around...
great poem, Corset...
so many angles and angels to this.

Amazing poetry as always Corset, this one makes the reader really think, so many situations this conversation could arise from also of late in the world we are struggling within and of course we answer those we have close by but also we know there are the skeletons in the closet we wanna hang on to sometimes and faith, however fragile it may be or whatever variety it may be :) Love this :)
