Yoru no Kurotsuki

Yoru no Kurotsuki

A Poem by Corset

She left her shoes
out in the rain
again,
as they dried the salt
of her toil became
 evidence of long days
at heel
sweat to the surface.

Yoru no Kurotsuki

Something beautiful in the
way they waited to rescue,
to carry her anywhere
 to bear her weight

something sad in the way
they lay kicked aside,..
as moonless night.

I love that surrender, thank you
Friends will be there for you in difficult time, loved ones will be the light in your darkest times.

What a beautiful sentiment R&R, thank you for commenting
but they are faithful, always there for her to comfort...and to think of those in poorer countries, especially the kids who have no shoes...people don't appreciate them enough.

in Trinidad people would put shoes outside the door to dry...but had to be careful when they slipped them on, because often scorpions would take lodging in them.

i also see a metaphor in this poem...people who are always there for another and yet get kicked aside...often happens...they use us, wear us...but never let them dry from the tears.

years ago i supervised in a factory that made Brown Shoes..Naturalizers...so i relate to this in several ways.
