![]() The Deep Blue.A Poem by Corset![]() The deep blue black green of winding hill roads roared like an injured jungle cat. The silence after has never been quite so deafing, not a cricket, neary a hum, no traffic, no twinkling thrum of stars on the way side. I shot straight up in my bed and clutched my pillow, the deep rich indigo laughter of June, had been silenced. ...and I learned what it meant to be numb, dumb as the bones of an old byway. He had come my way to exact his revenge, by silencing the glorious night. I opened my arms and embraced the madness and loved it black, 'til it was distant then out of sight. © 2014 CorsetReviews
