September

September

A Poem by Corset

The trees began to bend
sussurus with sound
September was so close
I could smell her breath.
A gold medalist
twirling Oak leaves
in her hands,
gathered
in bunches and
scattered them
skyward
with a gust
of wind.

Remember me
he spins
remember me
in
September,
'neath school books
and apricot Essays,
with necklaces
strung of
purple clover

September. A time of betrayal, and beauty. When the leaves betray the trees, and the Sun ignores the crops. New alliances. New mentors. New muses.
Nature can be beautiful cruel. Starting, in September.

Lovely work, C.

happens every year, thank you R&R
Our revolution in relation to the Sun draws us around and the gravity summed with our leaning produces familiar colors and scents. Remind us that we have but one less trip around that life birthing orb to create us into a pleasant memory midst the hearts that love us most.
