Silverfish

Silverfish

A Poem by Corset
"

"

Last night I planted a vineyard
moonlight in twisted xyst
you were there, cracked in Birch
beacon in slivered mist portico,
a twilight strung promenade.

As I drew closer to where you sat;
a plume and a hat
sat by the sea and kept company
a pen and some parchment,
jousting the great beast.

Ancient again in the feast of Greece
white hair flowing with the magic
of a south wind mind, as the moon
shone through the trees and kissed
you into Zebra striped starlight.

Mystically myriad  and so very
magnanimous once again
snorting Paganism like dusty
wisdom...feeding the hunger of
a million like minds.

A vista colonnade made for the
elegance of uncertainty
wishing wells filled with daydreams
and pails filled of nightmare.

I drew my bones through your hair
shifting and parting the clouded vines
and cracked myriacanthous  spines
fruited in wine and feasted upon the
words like a silverfish.

Thank you Dana
The imagery here is mystical, haunting, even. Potent surrealistic portrayal on the craft, the mystery. Indulging our appetite not just to partake, but spectate... Again, you leave an indelible image searing in my imagination, in much the same ways as our friend dana, always seems to do ...

A fascinating piece, C

' .. as the moon ~ shone through the trees and kissed ~ you into Zebra striped starlight. '

What absolute wonder! Your choice of words, the near magical, mythical tale you tell within a wonderfully created poem is nothing less than breathtaking. This really does walk 'longside the best of any piece in an anthology. Forgive me but, am positivly green with envy!

Thank you Emma
being lost in someone else's words...what a feeling...it is mystical...my favorite line "i drew my bones through your hair..."
i wish i had written that one...

this has such a touch of myth...and reality...like the pen and parchment we have a relationship with...it comes and goes with the tides of inspiration.

beautiful stuff here.
i am awed and totally rapt of and in these words.
