Hour love,

Every second
of every minute
of every day
I try to escape,
but I want to stay.

Every day,
of every month
of every year
wanting to run
but needing you near.

Call me Texas
I'm going home
where a river runs
through it and i'm
not alone.

You're right about that...you're never alone in Texas. Nice photo of our Riverwalk, I think I see Dirty Nellie's off to the right. I'm originally from New Jersey and I will admit, I do get homesick from time to time but all I have to do is walk outside and those thoughts disappear quickly.

Don't Mess With Texas. Very well done my friend.

Only you can do this with three stanzas, create and then capture this forboding human fortune of a coming presentiment. The way one can feel the outcome by just the first few lines. "Hour",
instead of "our", is more forecast than ownership. But it is hard to imagine you ever being alone.

nice.

Thanks Dana
Call me red clay and a red rose blooming in Texas. Love indeed is that river flowing through wide, arid and starry terrains. Excellent...:).......................

this reminds me of how i feel about Vermont.

my heart has never left there...in 50 plus years, since my childhood..

rather than the river running through it...it is the pastures that run through it...run through the green mountains.

i understand this longing.

...In the big blue skies of Texas you'll find my heart and soul. Epic indeed! Guess your reading me today or I you. I was gonna write a piece that said...my heart belongs in Texas...I miss my grandfather. :)
