Eve of Tomorrow

Eve of Tomorrow

A Poem by Corset

Let us pour our life as water dipped
from a living well
as fields in wave of liquid flower
in hush of plume and weather.

We play with hands of power
drop feathers with the dawn
cast our heavenly dreams
and pray it's journey long.

Cover ourselves in coverlets blue
neath sway of willow skirts
wed neath mountains hue
bathed in shadow blue.

let's breathe the test of  God's
own  breadth 'gainst roaring
waters edge that forgive our souls at sunset
that stole toward twilight grand.

Let us forgive love's burn and blister
caught long within our throats
sing memories into laughter
and the frailness of our hands.

Never let us sleep in anger
better never to weep at all
stay awake in lover's linger
and heed this eve of call.

Really love the last phrase. There is always a lyric a melody to pieces that flow.. This certainly has that :-). Nice.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting. :)
In the frailness of our beings and hands I see the mighty power of your observation and splendid descriptiveness of these magnificent plants of nature bathing us in your shadow blue of heavenly dreams where we want to wake up weep for the long journey ...Wonderful as usual...:)

i love wysteria, i tried to grow it in my garden but the dog ate it, apparently it is a favourite with them. i liked the lightness of the poetry here. you write so beautifully, lovely to read this over the holidays. fantastic.
