Breaking Your Heart

Breaking Your Heart

A Poem by Corrupted Rose

Hatred for myself is rising
How could my loved ones be in so much pain...
At the fault of my own hand
Teeth clenched and tears falling
Forgive me... Please
But the sorrow in your eyes tell a different future
Walking away I look at you...
I see you... Within...
Turning around now would be a misery for you
Be happy
Without me
Flashbacks occur within my mind
You carried me and walked with me all those years
But here I am...
Breaking your heart; you always did expect the best from me
You'll never understand me
Truth be told - You don't know me
That's why they are in so much pain
Turning my eyes away from you...
Goodbye.

Heartbreak is fair. Like karma. We will feel the sadness in the near future or ASAP. I could feel the sadness in the separation. No goodbye is easy. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

That duality of you and who you are supposed to be and the chained confines we can sometimes feel with family is well expressed here with suffocating emotion. Good job.
