Goodbye?

Goodbye?

A Poem by Corrupted Rose

Don't we wish we could go back...
Back to a time... Back to a place where we were happy
My sadness is taking a toll on me from the broken heart I once felt
Who knew pain was so breathtaking
It could truly destroy you if you let it
Even after time passes me by still...
The pain lingers on from the sharp knife you once stabbed me with
When will I be able to say "Goodbye"?

I understand this poem. A re-set button for life. Would be the perfect thing to own. The past teaches us to be kinder and don't express negative words and do negative actions. No positive goodbye. I like the internal thoughts leading to the very good closing. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
