Could it be?

Could it be?

A Poem by Corrupted Rose

Kept running from all the sorrow and pain
Never looking back or passed the pouring rain
Tried to push everyone away from me
Didn't think they'd understand or let me be
One day I awoke and noticed I was alone
How could I do this to myself where I'm not even known
I prayed that the darkness would leave
and that the light in my heart would retrieve
I woke up from a bad dream the next day
Then noticed my family was there to stay
Looked up to see an angel wink at me
It was the strangest thing, but could it be?

I liked the poem. The hope of escape leading to home.
"Then noticed my family was there to stay
Looked up to see an angel wink at me
It was the strangest thing, but could it be?"
Most of us want freedom and when we find it. The journey to freedom was the fun and we learn. Can't stand alone. I like the question at the end of the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
