A Ring Pop Kind of Love

A Ring Pop Kind of Love

A Poem by Cori Kate
"

When your childhood best friend becomes more.

"
They say diamonds are a girl's best friend.
Not mine,
I've known you for fifteen years.
You've memorized me from the inside out.
Never judging,
My hopes, regrets, and fears.
You've loved me through life's twists and turns,
And though sometimes we fight,
You've been my teammate with a tear-stained shoulder on every sleepless night.
I'm not sure what life has in store, but for my future you're who I see.
Though we say it's an inside joke,
I'd be just fine with a ring pop when you go on one knee.
