The Mirror

A Poem by C.J.H.
"

2013

"

Lost in thought of being something.
Movement alone within a still shot.
Caught awake in some kind of dream.
Shake the hands of all I'm not.....

These waters and air dried sins.
Fear of what I could never see.
Another story was told not to listen,
what you are, all I can never be.

One day I'll try to sleep.
Maybe this time I'll use my feet.
Wander where the shadows creep.
For myself that I never meet..

I just simply love this line because of how true this is today "what you are, all I can never be."

I liked the above lines and those awake dreams are they true or false places? Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
