Listen For The Sunset

I said after midnight, I'd soon settle down. 
No more on the rise of this old town. 
And I'd say around midnight, I tried to settle down.
Forth what I was told, yet no one else around....
We try to gaze starlight, turn gold from the ground.
Rocks were the tongue-tied, dreams were the drowned.
Then we saw a darker side, describe what you found. 
Only lonely scars were allowed.....
