You Don't Know Him Like I Do

You Don't Know Him Like I Do

A Poem by Cora Lena Levan
"

Have you ever had someone tell you something about someone, that is just unbelievable, because you know that isn't how they are?

"
Don't you see, don't you see?
He isn't the he you think he is.
He is my he; he loves me.
You have no right to your negative talk.
He is an amazing father, and amazing man.
You just don't see him for who he really is.
Kind, loving, strong, and tender.
My stronghold, my fortress, my daddy.
He is everything to me, you just don't get it.
I know you father left you, he never cared.
My father stayed; I am his everything.
Who is at fault here?
Bus stop waiting, shaving cream shaving.
Brush away the tears, fight away my fears.
Let me and my father be.
You will never understand him.
Don't you get that.
Jealousy isn't attractive.
Your words just hurt the ones you claim to love.
You are worse then him.
You both are.
He is strong enough to ignore your hate.
He is at peace, don't you see?
He is everything I know him to be.
And you will NEVER see what you are missing.
