Dissociation

Dissociation

A Poem by Mary

The space between

was comforting

(hollow and empty)

and somehow warm

inviting

the escape of my mind

the release of pressure

a safe place for me

when there wasn't any other

But now the space between

is cumbersome

A burden

It has become

of late, a prison

and nearly my coffin

When the own mind has one dancing on red hot coal, there's no place to hide from it. Wherever one goes, it will be in one's 'backpack'. No running will bring alleviation... it must be dealt with ...

Very well expressed deep depression. Great write!

Wow. This is really powerful, it just reaches in and pulls a part of my heart out. I don't think I could even pick a favourite couple of lines - the whole darn thing is my favourite! I could really relate, too.

negative space, as they say in visual art--is both necessary and bothersome. I liked this a lot!

I like this one.
Though, I can think of a million things that could cause space, you leave it just sparce enough that it could be anything.
Which I like a lot.

Kudos. :]
