Come To The Rescue!

Come To The Rescue!

A Poem by Mary

Three times now

those blue lights have flashed for me

attracted to me

in my state of calamity

they have come to the rescue!

come to help me through

really though

I have seen no proof

that their

high pitched, high'n mighty, high horse

has really helped me at all

but left me more

disorganized

disturbed

disoriented

than before

so in the next crisis

I will ask of you

please don't beckon

those cerulean cries

just because you reckon

that they can handle better than I

About
Much of my poetry is about addiction. It played a huge, if not the only, role for many years of my life. I'm now a recovering addict, clean for over a year. I'm also recovering from self-mutilation, w.. more..
