A world filled with fake promises, why?
Something that always makes me sigh
I am stuck in my thoughts like I am high
Why can’t it all be sweat, candy and pie?

With time our hearts became cold
Instead of how they used to be gold
People are now becoming more bold
How easy it is to always forget the old

People’s feelings don’t matter anymore
Thinking otherwise? You’re such a bore
What matters now is how will you score
Break who loves you down to the floor

Just take all you want and then leave
Let them wonder how will they grieve
It is how to survive life they do believe
