Agonizing Love

Agonizing Love

A Poem by Sherin Alsayed

Do you know what hurts the most?
When in yourself you have no trust!
When what you love turns into rust
And all you need to do is wanderlust

And the person you fell for isn’t accessible
All your feelings for him are inexpressible
And makes you feel that you’re breakable
So with time you realize it is unacceptable

Yet all you want, is to make him love you
Reminds you with the strong coffee brew
Sweet and soar, so it will still alert you
So you’ll try and push your day through

Ignoring the fact that your heart is aching
And deep inside you, you’re just breaking
Bits and pieces of whatever was remaining
Whatever power left in you was all draining

True but sometimes even if your brains knows what’s right to do your heart wouldn’t listen.
