ParadoxA Story by CookeCodyPretentious
Two corrupt politicians somehow manage to pass legislation that relieves them of any consequence, thanks to clever wording.
"You can't prosecute us," they say in court. "The wording of the law you signed into place forbids us of being punished!" If you choose to adopt a loose translation of the law and thus claim that it is ok to bend the rules when it benefits you, you demonstrate the subjective fallacy in law and thereby denounce its necessity. If you stick with a strict interpretation, you point out the weakness of established rules and how they can be manipulated to benefit whomever, and the congressmen get away with it. © 2017 CookeCody |
