Mind Watch

Mind Watch

A Poem by Constantine
"

I wrote this many years ago during a night I couldn't sleep. I thought it deserved a space somewhere.

"

It is not hard to stay awake

Nor difficult to hear

The thoughts that slowly break

Inside next to your ear

There are some times of difficulty

That make you wonder why

And still you find artistically

A way to shut the eye

What made you heartless? Says the mind

You are looking at the ceiling

The question‘s said one more time

“There is no room for feeling”

“It is the journey from the storm

It is the mirror’s face

There is no path between the thorns

And I can find no grace”

Your sleep is gone the eyes are red

And memory is all that's kept

“I wonder what is on ahead"

The soul has kept... the soul has wept.

Well done!

It is the journey from the storm

It is the mirror's face

There is no path between the thorns

And I can find no grace

This has to be my favourite part of your piece! It is so powerful-- it shows a great desperation of being lost and confused to who you are as a person and hating who you are and what you have become-- a very powerful statement!

Good Job :)
