Deceptive HopeA Poem by Constance PayneMother Nature is one temperamental lady
The sunlight glistens
off the sparkling white flakes. Deception is Mother Natures forte. She shows beauty with the illusion of Warmth, yet the bite of the Cold gives painful reminder that winter has Arrived. Gladly, it is not here to stay, simply visiting. Giving sleep to the ground gestation of the new life to come as spring pushes forth breaking the ice and snow as heat warms the ground. Green of Spring Lovingly explodes with hope and newness. Yet, coldness fills the air. Crisp and deceptive in its hope of what is to come.
