Summer Brings

Summer Brings

A Poem by Constance Payne
"

found in an old forgotten book written years ago

"
Summer brings us lots of things
Ticks and chiggers and bugs with wings
Biters / stingers / coughs & colds
The lack of fun doth make me old
Summer brings us fun and fancy,
Light and airy ~ backward glancey
The tiny clothes
so the tan spreads well
Oh those thoughts
gonna take me to Hell
Summer brings us rhymes and reasons
Summer is a beautiful season

and now for the changes (added to)

Summer brings us lots of things

Ticks and chiggers and bugs with wings

Biters / stingers / coughs & colds

The lack of fun doth make me old

Summer brings us fun and fancy,

Light and airy ~ backward glancey

The fishing and boating

While campfires roar

Childhood Memories, laughter galore

The tiny clothes

so the tan spreads well

Oh those thoughts

gonna take me to….moving right along

Summer brings us rhymes and reasons

Summer is a beautiful season

Haha, I love it. The tiny clothes...that made me laugh. Great rhyming poem in my humble opinion.
