pain

awakening to the darkness

the sounds of the radio 

the silence of the night

the screaming coming from where

                                and i realize it is within me

                                              why am i screaming

i wish i knew

no one can hear but me

the internal pain of the nightmare

Thank you for reading. I have nightmares on occasion that usually last for about two weeks; then nothing for months. When I awoke this day I realized I had a place to share those emotions...it is nice to be read and understood.
