Morning

Morning

A Poem by Constance Payne
"

I really need to pay more attention; wish I could afford attention

"
The beautiful red glow
from behind the cedar line
it rises gaining color
I stand soaking up the beauty
sipping coffee
ready for the day to begin
it peaks atop the trees
Damn! Blinded again.....

welcome
It's not so silly. I liked the simplicity and the visual description. To stare at the beautiful sunrise in the morning is a blessing not everyone gets a chance to enjoy. :)

A bit of silliness in the morning seems like a great way to start off your day. Humor, then breakfast. On a "this poem must have deep, philosophical (heheh, deephilosophical) meaning" level: this poem could be interpreted to mean that true beauty is lost to the eyes of man because it is blinding, rendering sight useless in the understanding of it.

Nice little poem either way one looks at it. : )

Thank You for reading. Yes, I get blinded by the sun a lot.
Sometimes we don't stare enough, sometimes too much! A nice reminder to enjoy simple beauties.

Enjoyed this! I adore the sunrise - and am often blinded by it, too! Just Mother Nature's way of saying that she's still the boss! Nice imagery (until you were blinded, that is!)

A great write, that's for sure. You've done a great job just telling about the beauty tha you've seen. :)

Nothing silly at all... "Goodmorning..."

I almost let one escape here - within YOUR space.. that wouldn't do.
