To Help A Baby GirlA Poem by Constance PayneParenting is a wonderful thing, grand parenting is so enlightening
Walking is not working
Pacing is no better Crying with only makes Her voice grow louder still Baby swings and baby slings Car rides, crying still Feeding time, walk some more Pace and pace, wear out the floor One evening working in the yard Crying crying long and loud Walking, pacing, fretting still Wondering what to do The breeze blows gently The hammock in the yard A thought crossed a tired mind A simple idea no one has tried We lie the crying babe inside A swing of rope holding tight Back and forth, gently in flight Good night sweet girl good night.
