Misty Morn

Misty Morn

A Poem by Constance Payne

In the misty morn
The tree stand strong
Descending it's roots
Deeply into the earth
Holding it's branches
Tall and strong
Reaching to the moon
On a misty Morn
Each day we wake
With things to do
Life moves forward
Into you
Coffee strong
Breakfast cooked
Clothes put on
Off to work
A day spent
Away from those
We love
Doing what we need
To do to make a life
For our heart strings
Children, husbands,
Dogs and cats
Bosses demand
Customers need
We choose to let
Them affect us
But we must do
What we must do
Stepping out
To start our day
Knowing we can
Succeed in life
Out the door
Upward we look
To see the
Misty Morn.

The misty morn: an allegory of the uncertainty of the day's events, or of life as a whole? Do you represent that, even though the road may be obfuscated, the voyage must nevertheless be undertaken? And, of course, as is the wont of fog, it WILL dissipate faster, if you refuse to be hemmed in by it!

This was a "life as a whole" moment, but in the moment of the start of that day.

I paused to touch the "magyk"... and wasn't disappointed.
