New Days

New Days

A Poem by Pablo Cole

new days

broke through to the other side of youth's longing

with a little morose regret

alas with a little sense of class and dignity

some remnants of self respect

and sense of free will enough to become another's love belonging

newly understanding the temporal reality to each living moment

some sense of love or reserve for the movement of new life

new generations need your presence of heart

to usher on the representation of life in love and life in form

singular alone in this existence seeking peace of mind

wandering along yet feeling alone and stupid and messy

was i designed to be this way?

to be sincere i must chain paranoia and say what i mean once

and accept my own unjust actions in matters of brotherly friendship

what's happened is nothing except a total rearrangement

of a wider and full apprehension of joy that flies with

the wings of an angel in metaphor

strangely afraid of love and committment

mulling through thoughts that arrive as voices

and actions

always self conscious

spurring me on to say something of the most

beauty and truth

to match

the unspeaking vision of a patient and chaotic universe

nurturing my survival

but it's all up to me

to make the most of limited days

you start to be aware of when you hit 3o

over the hill

we hear what we want and act accordingly

exploring the choose your adventure game called daily life

some movement seeks my attendence of social communication

and i leave down my oppositiioin essence

just in enough time to first view my frail nature

and clarfy my understanding of a sad and weak tragic beauty

romance unbridled is where i need to be

action

panic and self doubt seem to be what paths will be

body parts and action embrace a biological imperative

i fish for a beautiful woman yet

and see they are all around

and availble truly

and i am still that i am still that geek

boy

i will always be

new days becon touch

and hope to arrive on this planet in the holding of our hands

my love goes beyond

and into your arms

and the comfort i have so long been yearning for

perfect in my mind in this evidenced scenario

the welcomes back

i see my one perfect true girl in the horizons and landscape

and live each day with a noble sincerity

that dismisses all the conflict that she brings

and offer her a home iin my arms

where we find what we have needed

that urgency
