The Circus and The Wishing Well

The Circus and The Wishing Well

A Poem by Pablo Cole

And cried a deathly cry

Little poor boy with the blues
Do you know what you are a part of?
Do you see you matter at all?

I made a wish, I cast a coin
It hit my temporal reflection
It began to rain, I fled and hid
And listened for my angel watching

In silence I did drift unto recollection
An angel blessed my fragile mortality
When madness caught my heart
And caused it to fear
Angels, ghosts, or something
That could be there
I cried an eternal tear
A misplaced passion
But, no, this isn't paradise!
