HER BEAUTY IS THE NIGHT

HER BEAUTY IS THE NIGHT

A Poem by Pablo Cole

Have you seen my nightmare horrors?
Have you seen the end of man?
Have you seen me as the total anti hero?
Have you seen an end to the elaborate plan?
I would give up
I would give up
But her beauty
Her beauty
It is the night
Have you seen my lonely hours?
Have you seen the end to THE FIST's power?
Do you know I call myself a free man
Wrapped in these mortal chains?
I will not hate
Do you comprehend divine creation?
Do you sense no elation?
O how strange
I find my meaning in you
Why is the stress on this mind so serious?
My words written out of fear and confusion
A dream I died in, so furious
I awoke from and felt so light
The isolation it was so enormous
But now I just fly fly fly above
My tears dropping for every living thing
The dinosaurs to man
But now I am waving dancing delighting
In the breeze
Because
Her beauty is the night
