If I Knew a Love in Harmony

If I Knew a Love in Harmony

A Poem by Pablo Cole

This sex is a sacred gift

Will you accept it

And love

More than the body

The soul and spirit?

Have you learned nothing from your mother?

Color

Warmth

Beauty

Responsive whimsy is the order of this day

Assert your sexuality, it goes

Masculine and feminine

You  make

A love child

Get it on

If You're

Not getting on

Is what they say

That common wisdom

Flashes of the moments of my life

Standing between Heaven and Hell

On Earth

The day coming down

To reveal a watchful moon with stars a' waiting

I'm the kind of geek

That can't talk to you

I've been a freak

I've been a punker too

The funny part is

The worst I do I do to myself

Life became hard for me

The day I tried to control it and know it all

Girl, I only put you high on a pedestal

To think Heaven was there

In the innocence of a woman's beauty

If you knew the hurt

If you knew the hurt

I have

On the outside, inside

Even though I trust you

Even though I want you

Even though I love you

I will always need you

The sky changes color

The kids 'a play
