TO HIS TANGLED THOUGHTS

TO HIS TANGLED THOUGHTS

A Poem by Pablo Cole

TO HIS TANGLED THOUGHTS

She stays with him in silence                       knowing

So he will learn the meaning of his words                   owing

She will stay with him forever everywhere       speaking

Until he understands his heart              and understands the flight of birds

His bud his muse his long lost lover           forever

He writes napkin poetry     daily                wasting

Fragments never meant to be interwoven

From his dreams

To his tangled thoughts

So as to sing to her

An infinite sorrow

Across the ages time and space and fate

She took her love and showed it to him

With roses chocolates and a box

She calls him crazy brain

Hey crazy brain what would you address?

She stays with him in losses of power

Follows his delusional writing to show it is just a dream like any other duress

They are not so special

We have them every night

She stays with him in tangled duress

At night the rhythms call him

To honor the glory of the day

He has no friends anymore

In a midlife crisis he faces himself like the reflecting of the moon

He cries to the sun

If you would let me love you

I will become strong

I could love the lips of truth

Take back the love I’ve been missing

In the travel of my soul

Flashback dreams

May I sing a song that lasts

Give something that goes into your heart

Night rhythms

Want to dream in your arms
