Love Sick Heart

Love Sick Heart

A Poem by Pablo Cole

prelude to songs (the malcontent)

love sick heart

live for you

gyspy blues

a home in you

dont be a fool

dont do just what they do

for no reason

just be you

you are in the eye of the thunder

a brilliant storm

i am undeserved of your affections

try to fool you when i can

appear in a normal form

wild brave and calm ... strong

as they say lovers do

can't anymore

make you

bless me with you and your attention

in your love again

i know you wouldn't let me down

but see i'm already down

still i am in a place

where i still have half my dreams

these malcontent wishes and aspirations

fall something short of perfect

and i always liked you better immature anyhow

in those days when we still touched

when things just seemed worth it

could i touch your heart

i would so much

i would show you a better version of love

itself

a better world so true and pure

where happy angels dwell

you not out of my reach

eternity would suddenly bloom

divine

this not a goodbye

i'm just saying i can't free you

like a key

let's witness the unfolding of the world

as if it were the holy and the unholy

so much more sublime

like my intuitions tell me

i've got a joke you dont know

silent kisses

held in a womb

the feeling of your emotions given to me

and you still see me as a loser

i want to be more than a question mark

now are we

more than hypothetical

in the sum of real love

we are still in a place

still so magical

they dress themself in soft darkness

the darkness is within

IF MY LIFE WERE A MOVIE IT WOULD BE BLACK AND WHITE

HE THOUGHT

i am a fish out of water
