You Love Me

You Love Me

A Poem by Pablo Cole

YOU LOVE ME, by Paul Dwyer

In Knowing I Love You

With everyone and their death

Throw me away, Tear me apart

Break my heart

… Unless you love me

With human greatness and the starving child

And you know you can't spare your heart

With untrue love

Stamp on this face

Leave it in disgrace

Ugly me

Wishing I was with you

I worry about the the human race but they've got guns

You and I and our stories

It’s just like love

To me

It’s just like love

It’s just like

O these words for voices, dreams for the heart!

I'll make your superhero themesongs

And watch as the story and the refuge works true

Don’t love yourself for the wrong reasons

You do plenty in and out of season

La la la!!!

(It’s the game and not the competition, I said!!!)

And I’m going to make the most of it all!

And I place you at the top of the hill!

And I’ll hold you in these arms of protection!

These eyes of recollection

Behold you

And remember the times

They spare me, friend

Stay and make the most of it

Do you understand I love you for the things that you’re not

So Fool me from the start

Break down my honest wonder

Worry not

The loving heart bears all

So you tear me asunder

You bury me down under

Unless you love me

Cast aside my friendship

For I once uttered ...

                              I said

There’s a clock on love!

Who divides transcendence

Of the human soul?     Of this light race?

Of the master's direction? Of good God's priceless and unimaginable gift?

Time slows down for you to see the beauty

Let there be no mockery of the ordinary face of reality

Do not sweetheart be divided

By the evil that man hid

In your shiny polished mirror

I cannot make it clean           But your purity is still there inside

And you are not endebted you are not in a prison

As friends do

Mirror me in your love … I will try to mirror you

For you are all I know of friendship and you carry me on

Go forever away and cry

Become a stranger a spy

Unless you love me

O somewhere I learned that ignorance doesn't see

Its owner can always be saved

Time beats on        Just the way you always thought

Someday in the silence you will find stillness of heart

Grace

In knowing that you love me
