Comic Relief

Comic Relief

A Poem by Pablo Cole

life has found me lonely

travelling in my dreams

in need of comic relief

i look to society

in a mimicry of fascination

i pretend to have a

beautiful

mind

of steel

but my stupid animal side

slaps and kicks me to tears

tells me what is real

more feelings reel

casting doubt to the silence

my desperate nights heal

yet i must wonder at man's violence

brothers against brothers

famous to my own hours

i've wasted notice without regret

no legacy grows

and i am still just a bug

can i rid myself of that feeling

what did you expect?

i will not be labelled, polarized as

a feeling guy

that archtype fable

has cost my my sanity

twisted soul in my eyes in the mirror

i who love and adore humanity

so never speak

of the challenge of the worry of this time

lonely mortals meek

we are bonded in this rhyme

of caring and sharing in the limits of the fates

and opportunity

dream on my friends

let true hearts quest for world community
