once upon a very dark and a very trembling beauty

once upon a very dark and a very trembling beauty

A Poem by Pablo Cole

once upon a very dark and a very trembling beauty, by paul j dwyer

in a rebellion of sleeping

dreams birth a new love

as the rising sun

carries with it

inspiration

to a rythym of

light

and

singing

soulfulness

expanses of song

my

song

my

story

my

words

my music

a messy conglomeration

of a life

culture now is an enticing kiss with the tongues

and i am old

i noticed gray hairs yesterday

while

winter's embrace is near

which is kind of nice

i am here with you in this moment

because real hugs are better with no televisions in the mind

and love making is an ancient relic to this brain

nearly

i am here

all

for

the

cusp

of

real true emotional reaction

the reaching towards

and the words are written in memory

created art

no one will ever know

and i deduce my needs

with sincerest aspirations

of full self

after surreal years

when

i hardly gave a damn

the story is best in simple

terms

in clear rules

...

LISTING about what you cannot change

truth is

adapted to this modern exchange

a conflict of loathing wishingness

i will never be free til i attain

a 100% inclusive strong loving heart

or abandon it

entirely

to a fickle

blow off

and scoff

as a woman and the city and the night

and a bottle

tell me only this:

these poems are nothing
