Birthday Poem

A Poem by Pablo Cole

Little does my sister know that her presence on Earth makes my heart aglowAnd that he friendship here has always shinedA beacon for this soul of mineTo persevere to love and forgiveTo make it through the hardship and live If I didn't tell her how I tell her nowI love you all the way, with a love that makes one bowShe has nothing to prove or demonstrate to meI already love her, love so sublime to beI have never been so inspired in my timeHer kindness extends a bridge to family of mineShe has never failed to extend generosity to me and let me knowHow much truest love there is to see and sowTo make it through to the beautiful dayI thank the universe for her alwaysThoughts of how we used to run around and playBrings me gratitude to continue on this way With trust and sacrifice to have a heartThe love I've gained, there is nothing else so smartSo, sister, please don't change or ever feel down about yourselfI truth I tell you I ask for noone elseSo I send this poem in a way to pray Please think of me and smile once each day And hopefully that smile will continue to grow Until my sincerest appreciation is something you never doubtand will always knowThere are no more words I feel I must say This poem is pure happiness, to celebrate your life and this day So have some fun and today be carefreeYou see for me the way things are are the best they can be All the little things make me hold on till happier times come But the story of my appreciationIs only meagerly caught in this rhyme done So I send an embrace with a lesson for youMay its intent help you to know you are always loved and loved anew
