You B*****d

You B*****d

A Poem by ConnectedWinds
"

Shaken to the core by the truth revealed of a pseudo-distant family member

"

How could you

Do what was done to you

How could you

How could you

Take the innocence

That was taken from you

How could you

How could one victim

Make a dozen

Perhaps dozens more

Dare I ask

How many

How could you

How could you

Victimize the only ones who loved you

The only ones who showed you compassion

How could you

How could you

Take my innocence

A mere bystander

Hardening my naïve heart

Proving the media is right
Proving it happens right in front of our noses

With those most trusted

A fearful tear in my heart

How do I protect my children

And still have a heart and compassion
How can I keep them from b******s like you

How do I keep you from anyone’s child

How can I

You can, because you have seen the ugly side and you have rejected it. It's a highly emotive poem filled with strength fueled by anger...anger can be a mighty motivator.
