Stay Gold

A poem about youth

The light is fading, 
Some drifted away into the shadows
You're still moving,
Thriving in the darkness 
Moving on to the next one 

Can we even call it youthful exuberance?
Doubts are minimal 
Fear doesn't exist 
I was young and chained to myself
Tonight the shackles came off 

You're bounded by nothing 
Keep moving in the darkness 

Stay gold.

Added rhyme or two will take this poem to a next level.

It has a soul. Substance if you will. You are clear about it. Easy to relate. Focus on smaller words, or big words that can rhyme in the end with two smaller (example: I have a SYNDROME , bear in left, smokes in right and I got my SIN ON.)

Keep writing. In the end writing is all about politics. (structure; both conceptual and contextual).
