Locked Room

A poem about holding yourself back

Bound by invisible chains,
Invisible to the naked eye,
Hiding from all,
Behind friendly lines

The paint left a stain,
But soon washed away
The shard of glass drew blood,
But there's no scar.

A locked room,
With no key,
An animal trapped
Breaking free is the challenge.
