Strange DaysA Poem by ConfuzzledKiddA poem about seeing someone you knew so well and then realising they're a stranger now
If you had one day told them
That in the not too distant future They would be strangers in a crowdYour words would have been met with contempt The thought inconceivable as there was no cause for concern The party is in full swing And in walks that person that was once Your closest companion What do you do now? Panic? Hope they don't see you? Avoid them all night? Surely that's too difficult An awkward "Hi" will suffice You'll spend your time wondering how you got here Asking where did it all go wrong? They're now a stranger Just another face in the crowd © 2014 ConfuzzledKidd |
