Remember When

A poem about my memories with a particular person and what they taught me

I wasn't on my way to you

But my mind wandered

And arrived at your doorstep

Smiling at your quirks and habits

I took a dive into the pensieve.

On that first day

I was afraid to voice my desires,

I wrote them down instead,

You sensed our desires lined up

It rained, a cheesy line was spewed

And everything came together.

A moment can't be forced,

Just go with the flow

Just live in the moment

You turned a high five into a fist pound.

I want to be taken back

Appreciating all that it was

So you would do it all again?

Yeah I would.
