The Falling Angel

The Falling Angel

A Story by Little Bird

He watched as she fell. She was beautiful.

In slow motion, she crashed into the hard floor, and he winced as he heard bones break. She laid in a mess of a white dress and bent wings, with dust and feathers slowly settling on her. But blood started staining white to red, and pooled around her. She opened her eyes, strikingly blue, registered him, stretched out her hand and whispered something.

"Don't worry."

And then, she passed out.
